When we think of supply chain and its related infrastructure most real asset owners think of big box warehouses, last-mile facilities, highway systems, toll roads, and bridges. Confronted with the many million square foot warehouses that have mushroomed around the US over the past decade, it’s easy to overlook the scattered system of assets that support the freight movements between and along these supply chain points.
